Richard was born in Memphis where his father, being a finish carpenter, taught him early in life to pay attention to detail. Growing up on a farm in southern Illinois he learned to appreciate the benefits of hard work. Working 12 years as a union carpenter, and 20 years as Maintenance Craftsman in the IDOC, and still worked side jobs in construction.
After retiring in 2012 and working for a local residential contractor and having a couple of life-changing events, he was given the opportunity to join the Baysinger team as a site observer. And so, whether from the architects in the office or from the contractors and tradesmen in the field, he still enjoys learning from all sides of the construction industry.
